MOSES LAKE - Grant County PUD officials set a second boundary change hearing for 6:30 p.m., Monday, to attract more members of the public.

The hearing is held at the PUD's Moses Lake office on 312 W. Third Ave.

Commissioners are seeking public comment about the newly proposed boundaries for commissioner districts 1, 2 and 3, which are to follow the county commissioner district boundaries, according to a March 17 Columbia Basin Herald article.

Grant County is going through the same process for its commissioner districts.

A hearing is held every 10 years, as part of the federal census.

Grant County's population grew by 19.3 percent in the 2010 U.S. Census and now has a population of 89,120 people, according to figures from the state Office of Financial Management.

PUD commissioner districts have the following populations: district 1, 29,948, district 2, 29,532 and district 3, 29,640.

A target population per district is 29,707, according to a draft report provided by the district.
