MOSES LAKE - Lynne Lynch is the new managing editor of the Columbia Basin Herald.

Lynch, 35, started at the Herald in 2003 as the newspaper's education and health reporter. She is currently the newspaper's business reporter. She has spent nearly six years working for the Herald, is a former bureau reporter for the Tri-City Herald, and worked for weekly newspapers during the early part of her career.

She has resided in Grant County most of her life. She was born in Ephrata and has family living in Coulee City.

"I am delighted to promote a journalist from central Washington who has proven herself thoroughly as a beat reporter, as a bureau reporter and a good neighbor in our community," said Columbia Basin Herald Publisher Harlan Beagley. "Lynne's background and unique set of skills made her the perfect individual to lead our daily paper."

"In my new role, I want to continue the existing staff's hard work in making the Columbia Basin Herald the leading source of our area's news," said Lynch. "I look forward to hearing from the readers about their questions, comments and concerns."

Lynch is married to Kyle Lynch, who is employed as a legislative assistant to Rep. Judy Warnick, R-Moses Lake. They live in Moses Lake, where they've chosen to work and raise their family, with their two children, a daughter and son, ages 6 and 2.

To reach Lynch, email [email protected] or call 509-765-4561.
