Seawel, Couch, Douglas winners at Saturday's DA competition

DESERT AIRE - Tim Seawel, Larry Couch and Richard Douglas teamed for a score of 127 to win Saturday's men's club competition at Desert Aire Golf Course.
Saturday's game was 1-2-3. Three-man teams card the lowest score on the first hole, the two lowest on the second hole, then all three scores, and so forth.
The second place team, with 131, was made up of Eric Bozorth, Paul Meredith and Walt Hawkins. Jeff Goodwin, Steve Bodin and Tom Truax took third place with 133.
Fourth place ended in a tie at 135 between the team of Jack Eskildsen, Jerry Armstrong and Lawrence Bonander and the team of Gary Varney, Don Dahl and Mike Wolf.

Boys and Girls Club logo allegedly used in Moses Lake scam
MOSES LAKE — Boys and Girls Clubs of the Columbia Basin officials are warning people that scammers apparently are using the club’s logo and claiming to be affiliated with the organization. The scammers allegedly were soliciting money door to door along Third Avenue early Tuesday afternoon.
