Sean Patrick McMullen
Columbia Basin Herald | UPDATED 12 years, 9 months AGO
Sean Patrick McMullen passed away April 7th, 2012 at his home in Moses Lake. He was 38 years old. He was born August 27th, 1973 to Patrick and Carla McMullen. Sean was a long time resident of Moses Lake, where he spent his youth playing baseball in the local little league, being a member of the boy scouts and attending school. Upon reaching adulthood, he worked many jobs but his interest laid in construction. As a member of the Carpenters Union, he worked on various construction projects in Las Vegas, and the Seattle metro area. He was always first to help with a landscaping or a home improvement project.
Sean enjoyed spending his free time gardening, and on many weekends, visiting nurseries and attending yard sales with his mom. Being an avid golfer, he would play no matter the weather, and at any course he could find. He had a passion for reading and enjoyed the works of Hunter S. Thompson and John Kerouac among others. Sean loved music. From attending concerts with his brother, quoting his favorite artist Bob Dylan, or recently learning to play the banjo. Sean loved to cook, spend time with his dog Lady, write stories, poetry, draw, paint, and other various "activities".
Sean had an unwavering loyalty to his friends and family that will make him greatly missed. No matter the ups and downs in his life, Sean never lost his sense of humor. For those of us that knew him, his jokes, impressions and odd sayings will keep us all laughing for many years to come.
He was preceded in death by his father Patrick McMullen, cousin Shane Chapman, and cousin Dayne Anthony White. He is survived by his mother Carla McMullen, step-dad Roland Gutierrez, brother Alex (Amanda) Gutierrez, grandparents Carl and Willeen Bragg, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
In accordance with Seans wishes, there will be no funeral service, but a viewing will be held at Carver Family Funeral Home, 1217 E. Wheeler Rd., Moses Lake, on Thursday April 12, 2012 between the hours of 11 am - 7 pm for people to pay their respects and say there final good-bye.
