Readers urge families to help loved ones

Around 3:30 a.m. on March 21, 2012, my 40-year-old daughter was found dead. She died in her sleep. She was addicted to any kind of pain medication she could get her hands on.

She's been in this condition before and it was nothing new to her family only this time she did not wake up. My point: If you have an addict in your family, please do any and everything you can to prevent your family member from losing their life. We thought she would wake up like 100 times before. I don't know what we could have done different, but I am begging you find a way to stop the addiction your loved one has, because they may not wake up.
