HAMILTON - Ronan picked up a 7-1 win over Class A opponent Hamilton after surging for four runs in the top of the third and then following that up with three runs in the fourth.

HAMILTON - Ronan picked up a 7-1 win over Class A opponent Hamilton after surging for four runs in the top of the third and then following that up with three runs in the fourth.

Maidens' pitcher Bethany Colman held Hamilton to just one run and earned the victory. Ronan avenged an earlier loss to Hamilton this season and improved their record to 2-2.

Providing the offense for Ronan was Kenzie Dulmes and Payge DeLaurenti, who both had two singles. Jasmine Bocksnick knocked a double and the team had eight hits total.

Ronan will play Mission-Arlee-Charlo on Tuesday in a valley rivalry game at 4 p.m.

LAKE COUNTY — A string of burglaries woke up several storeowners in Lake County early Tuesday morning. The three separate break ins that occurred within the span of an hour and a half are believed to be connected.

Whitford hearing continued to Dec. 4

POLSON - The district court omnibus hearing for murder suspect Makueeyapee Whitford has been continued again, with Whitford's attorney Steven Eschenbacher requesting a six-week continuance in a brief court appearance Thursday. Eschenbacher indicated that the request is motivated by "outstanding discovery motions" that are still being processed.
