Thelma Louise Anderson (Sizemore), 77, of Hayden, beloved wife of Lyle Anderson, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on April 11, 2012, at Kootenai Medical Center. She was born sixth of eight children in Welch, W.Va., on Sept. 11, 1934, to Jessie Lee and Ella Ethyl Sizemore.
In 1953 she graduated from Pineville High School where she was also the prom queen. Thelma moved west to Mullan with first husband James Carl Box in 1955. After moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1964, Thelma earned her nursing degree from North Idaho College and worked on the surgical floor at Kootenai Medical Center until poor health forced her to leave that position. She married Lyle Anderson on March 25, 1996.
In her later years she loved being with family, watching sports, reading, quilting and camping with her husband Lyle.
She is also survived by her only daughter, Connie Lynn Madison and son-in-law Thomas Madison of Coeur d’Alene; grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Madison of Louisville, Miss., Amy and Jeff Volz, and Leah Madison of Coeur d’Alene; and sister Wilma Flannigan of The Dalles, Ore. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and their children.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today, April 16, 2012, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, with burial to follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
