POLSON — Polson’s boys had a much easier go of it than the girls.
The Pirates cruised to a 6-1 dual win in boys action Tuesday, while the Pirate girls emerged with a tight 4-3 victory.
“A very good dual for us,” Polson coach Bob Hislop said.
“The Sara Robinson (Polson) match (at No. 2 singles) with Kim Lamar decided the whole thing. After giving up a 5-2 lead in the second set, she (Robinson) came back to win 6-3 in the third.”
Polson split girls singles matches with Hamilton, but won two of the three doubles contests.
“Boys, No. 1 doubles was very closely contested,” Hislop said.
“Real high-quality tennis.”
Polson’s Ian Laimbeer and Will Davey prevailed in that match over Reese Isherwood and Craig Weese, 7-5, 6-7 (7-5), 6-4.
