The Coeur d’Alene Police Department reports a recent rash of thefts from patrons of local gyms.

The thief, or thieves, are walking into the fitness facilities and taking keys and wallets from the men's locker rooms. The keys are then used to get into the victims' vehicles in the parking lot.

The most recent thefts took place Monday at Peak Fitness on Ironwood Drive. Peak was also targeted on March 20. 360 Fitness on Neider Avenue was hit on March 30.

One of the credit cards stolen on Monday was used at the Safeway store in Liberty Lake.

The police department has provided surveillance footage of a suspect entering 360 Fitness and two still surveillance shots of the suspects at Safeway. You can view the video and the images here on this page.

Police are asking anyone with  information on the identity of the males, the dark-colored compact car used by the suspect in the video, or the driver accomplice, contact the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at (208) 769-2320.
