Margaret (Peggy) Louise Paulson Bolingbroke, 76

Margaret (Peggy) Louise Paulson Bolingbroke, 76, went home to Jesus on April 12, 2012, at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. Peggy was born in Twin Falls to George M. and Billie Paulson on Jan. 26, 1936.

She graduated from Boise High School and attended the University of Idaho and Boise State University. Peggy was an active member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.

Peggy married Donald Bolingbroke in 1956 and was a homemaker in Moscow, where their two children, Kathy and Steve were born. She loved golfing in the Women’s League at the Elks and bowling at the Bowlerama. She was also a member of the Moscow Jay C ettes. Peggy moved to Boise in 1974 and worked as a classroom aide in special education at Franklin Elementary School. She was very touched by the joy of the children in her class. In 1978 Peggy became a Juvenile Detention Officer for Ada County and worked there for 20 years. She had a real gift for working with troubled teens.

After retiring Peggy moved to Coeur d’Alene to be closer to her grandsons, whom she greatly delighted in. Peggy enjoyed her time living at Heritage Place and for the past year at Legends Park Assisted Living. Her passion for bowling was reignited at Legends with her almost daily playing of Wii bowling. She loved the meals with her special friends at her table.

Peggy was an avid reader, animal lover, Chicago Cubs Fan and most of all she loved her family! She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Helbling and son-in-law Greg of Coeur d’Alene; her son, Steve Bolingbroke of Seattle; grandsons, Brett and Brandon Helbling of Coeur d’Alene; her sister, Marilyn Dehlinger of Meridian; her brother, David Paulson of McCall; nieces, Kelly Barber of Meridian and Tammy Paulson of Boise; nephews, Rocky and Rory Paulson of Boise and the late Tim Gwilliam of Jackson Hole, Wyo.; and her sweet kitty, Muggins.

A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, with Father Roger LaChance officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of North Idaho or Kootenai Humane Society. Peggys’ family is so grateful for the outpouring of prayers and support.
