The Pirates were hoping the Chiefs bats would cool of in the second game of the doubleheader. But Moses Lake picked up where the team left off in game one, scoring 26 runs off 27, and left the Pirates in the dust with a shutout loss.

Jesse was the big stick for the Chiefs in the nightcap going 4-for-5 at the plate with a home run, six RBI and four runs scored.

Hot on her heels was Alex Jones who went 4-for-4 with four RBI and three runs scored, Yvette Moreno had four hits in four plate appearances with four runs scored and an RBI, and Valdez was 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBI to help propel the Chiefs to the win.

VanLaethem started on the hill again for Moses Lake, going one inning and striking out two Pirates.

Smigaj gave up one hit and fanned four batters in two innings of relief, and Orozco  closed out the game with two innings of on hit ball, while striking out three Pirates.
