Chickering piano concert Sunday
The third in a series of piano concerts featuring a 1920s Chickering piano is set for Sunday, April 22 at The Terraces in Coeur d'Alene.
Noted jazz musician Brent Edstrom will play and explore the evolution of jazz in America.
For the second half of the Sunday Soiree, Brent will be joined by Coeur d'Alene chanteuse Ruth Pratt.
This Chickering concert will be from 3-5 p.m. at The Terraces condominiums overlooking The Coeur d'Alene Resort Golf Course and Lake Coeur d'Alene. There will be wine and hors d'oeuvres.
Reservations are $35 and may be made by mailing your check to Mark Faulkner, 207 Park Drive, Coeur d'Alene, or call Faulkner at 664-2827.
Coeur d'Aleers concert April 27
The Coeur d'Aleers spring concert, "Singin', Dreamin', and All that Jazz" is set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Lutheran Church of the Master, Kathleen and Ramsey.
The concert is performed each April to raise money for the 3Cs, Cancer & Community Charities.
The Coeur d'Aleers were started as a part of the 3Cs in 1986.
The 40-member chorus includes director Rose Dempsey and accompanist Jeanne Donaldson.
In addition, to the concert, the Coeur d'Aleers contributes to the community by performing a number of mini-concerts during the year.
Tickets are $8 or 2 for $15, available from choral members and at the Great Harvest Bread Company, 667-0606
3Cs fashion show, luncheon May 1
The 3Cs spring fashion show and luncheon on May 1 will be highlighted by a visit from Idaho's first lady, Lori Otter.
The event will be 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at The Coeur d'Alene Resort. There will be a silent auction and drawing for prizes.
The models, members of 3Cs, will be showing fashions from local retailers.
Cancer & Community Charities is celebrating "50 Years of Giving."
Tickets are $40.
