Free lunches for veterans
The fourth annual Vernon Baker Memorial Day Free Lunch for veterans at local restaurants around Post Falls and Coeur d'Alene is set for Monday, May 28.
Donations are being accepted. Restaurants that would like to participate are also being sought.
Anyone seeking to make a tax-deductible donation to help feed local veterans for free on MemorialDay, is asked to make checks payable to VFW Post 889, write "Veteran's Lunch" in the memo space.
