COEUR d'ALENE - KaSara Wise singled to score pinch-runner Joanna Krum with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning as the North Idaho College Cardinals rallied to defeat the Southern Idaho Golden Eagles 8-7 in the second game of a Scenic West Athletic Conference doubleheader Saturday at Memorial Field.

Shelby Carter hit a solo home run in the sixth inning to tie the game at 6 for NIC. Wise also hit a two-run homer in the inning.

Chelsea Buttars hit a three-run home run in the first inning as CSI beat NIC 6-4 in the first game. Wise and Ashley Moon had two RBIs each for NIC.

CSI, in second place in the SWAC, took two of the three games in the weekend series. The teams played just one game Friday because of rainy weather.

NIC (19-35, 15-28 SWAC), in sixth place in the seven-team SWAC, hosts Colorado Northwestern in doubleheaders next Friday and Saturday at Memorial Field.
