It was DiGiallonardo's best 100-meter time by two hundredths of a second. She was also close to her best time in the 200-meter time, just three hundredths of a second off her top mark.
Talented jumper Jalen Bell from Ronan-St. Ignatius, picked the perfect stage to reach a goal he'd been aiming at. Bell had wanted to long jump over 21 feet and did just that, placing second in both the long jump (21-3) and the triple jump (44-4.25).
Polson thrower Riley Sampson was the only Northwestern Montana placer in the field events. He took second, notching a 50-11 mark in the shot put.
Charlo had several kids place at the Top Ten Meet. Tra Ludeman was fifth in the long jump (19-2.5) and Dawn Blevins was fifth in the javelin (119-0). Charlo's 1,600-meter girls relay team placed fifth (4:20.54).
