Kemp's HR ruins Harper's debut

Matt Kemp homered leading off the 10th inning, spoiling Bryce Harper's major league debut and lifting the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Washington Nationals on Saturday night.

Harper hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth before Washington's bullpen wasted a 3-1 lead in the bottom half.

Giants 2, Padres 1: Tim Lincecum pitched eight sharp innings and San Francisco beat visiting San Diego.

Mets 7, Rockies 5: At Denver, Lucas Duda homered and drove in four runs to help New York beat Colorado.

Pirates 4, Braves 2: Erik Bedard struck out nine in five innings and Pittsburgh won at Atlanta.

Marlins 3, Diamondbacks 2: Hanley Ramirez hit a run-scoring single in the ninth to lift host Miami past Arizona.

Reds 6, Astros 0: Jay Bruce homered and drove in four runs to lead Cincinnati past visiting Houston.

Cardinals 7, Brewers 3: Yadier Molina went 4 for 4 with a two-run homer to lift St. Louis past visiting Milwaukee.

Phillies 5, Cubs 2: Carlos Ruiz homered and drove in three runs, leading host Philadelphia past Chicago.

*AMERICAN LEAGUE

Tigers 7, Yankees 5: Miguel Cabrera homered and drove in three runs, leading Detroit at New York.

Rangers 7, Rays 2: At Arlington, Texas, Colby Lewis allowed one run in six innings and Texas beat Tampa Bay.

Orioles 10, Athletics 1: Chris Davis had four RBIs to lift Baltimore past visiting Oakland.

Angels 2, Indians 1: Dan Haren pitched eight strong innings, leading Los Angeles at Cleveland.

Red Sox 1, White Sox 0: Jon Lester outdueled Jake Peavy and Boston won at Chicago.

The game's only run came when Boston's Adrian Gonzalez hit an RBI single in the fourth.

Kansas City at Minnesota, ppd., rain: The Royals-Twins game was postponed by rain and will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 30.
