Rowley's 6 TDs lift Shock

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Kyle Rowley hit Brandon Thompkins with a 10-yard touchdown pass with 1:48 remaining to clinch the Spokane Shock's 56-48 win over the Jacksonville Sharks in an Arena Football League game on Saturday night before 10,470 at Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena.

Rowley completed 20 of 26 passes for 218 yards and six touchdowns as the Shock built a 28-7 lead midway through the second quarter.

Jacksonville pulled within 35-28 on a 37-yard touchdown pass from Omar Jacobs to Bobby Sewell early in the third.

Spokane stretched the advantage to 49-28 as Rowley hit Thompkins on a 13-yard pass at the 7:56 mark of the third.

Jacksonville scored 21 straight points, capped by a 5-yard touchdown pass from Jacobs to Jamarko Simmons to pull within 49-48 with 4:53 remaining.

Adron Tennell had eight catches for 117 yards and two touchdowns for Spokane (3-3), which travels to Utah on Friday.

That game, previously scheduled for Saturday, was moved due to the NBA playoffs.
