Area police assist in U.S. Marshal's roundup

MOSES LAKE - Members of the U.S. Marshal's Task Force arrested several individuals on felony warrants in the Grant County area Wednesday.
Jack C. Purdy, 26, Moses Lake, was arrested in Moses Lake on a state Department of Corrections warrant.
Shayne J. Anslow, 30, Soap Lake, was arrested in Soap Lake on a Grant County Superior Court warrant for vehicular homicide, as well as district court warrants for driving while license suspended in the third degree, six Clark County District Court warrants, Washington State Patrol warrants for driving while license suspended in the third degree, a protection order violation and assault in the fourth degree.
Amanda C. Lopez, 21, Moses Lake, was arrested in Quincy on a Grant County Superior Court warrant for possession of a controlled substance.
Amanda D. Guinn, 31, Quincy, was arrested in Quincy on a Grant County Superior Court warrant for possession of a controlled substance - marijuana - and use of drug paraphernalia.
Albert N. Nunez, 34, Quincy, was arrested in Quincy on Grant County Superior Court warrants for possession/manufacture of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana and use of drug paraphernalia. Nunez also reportedly had district court warrants for reckless driving and driving while license suspended in the third degree, as well as a Douglas County felony warrant regarding drugs.
The Moses Lake Police Department has been an active participant in the U.S. Marshal's Task Force since 2009, according to Moses Lake Police Chief Dean Mitchell. He said the intent is to investigate and apprehend local, state and federal fugitives to improve public safety and reduce violent crime.
"The Task Force has been a proven asset in keeping wanted felons off the streets," Mitchell stated.
Other participants in the task force include the Grant County Sheriff's Office and police officers from the Tri-Cities and Spokane areas.
