The winner of the new Best Of Show Traveling Trophy award for this year’s Heritage Days parade went to Angie’s Greenhouse.
The winners of the car show at Marantette Park were Ingrid and John Stonecipher, of Whitefish.
The Heritage Days button winner is No. 46. He or she will get $100 in cash if they call 892-0178 to claim their prize.
Heritage Days committee member Shirley Reynolds thanked a number of people for helping make this year’s event a success:
• Kevin McCready, for working on the Web site and being the voice on public airways.
• Creative Sales for printing the buttons.
• North Valley Hospital for the posters.
• The Engraver for the free engraving on the trophies.
• Don K for providing the car show trophies for the past three years and for providing transportation of the parade’s grand marshal, Randy Bocksnick.
• And all the volunteers, vendors and parade participants.

A bill requiring the state to electronically verify that all foreign nationals are in the U.S. legally before issuing a Montana driver’s license or ID card was signed into law by Gov. Brian Schweitzer on April 18.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
