Pinkerton's Glendening earns Certified Portfolio Manager title

Ron Glendening, chief operating officer at Pinkerton Retirement Specialists, LLC, has earned the Certified Portfolio Manager title from Columbia University in New York. The coursework involved highly technical analysis of market trends and asset allocation. Pinkerton Retirement Specialists is headquartered in Coeur d'Alene and offers private wealth management.

100-Minute wine and cheese reception to be held Aug. 16

The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce's 100-Minute wine and cheese reception will be Aug. 16 at Coeur d'Alene Cellars.

There will be the $100 giveaway, live music and cheese and wine tasting.

Producer Slater to be guest speaker at kNIFVES meeting Aug. 9

Producer Victoria Slater will be the guest speaker at the kNIFVES (Northwest Independent Film Video Entertainment Society) general meeting and lunch on Aug. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seasons of Coeur d'Alene, 209 Lakeside Ave., Coeur d'Alene.

Slater will share her experiences as a producer of feature films and television programs. She is the owner and producer at Minor Distractions Entertainment in Coeur d'Alene.
