Calling North Idaho businesses
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 12 years, 5 months AGO
Got business? Time Warner Cable is offering North Idaho women and minority owned business suppliers, contractors and professional service providers an opportunity to learn more about how to become a future partner with the company.
The Fortune 150 company will host a 2012 supplier diversity webinar - a series of free webinar opportunities - to meet new businesses for partnerships and share how they can do business with TWC. Companies owned by women, minorities and disabled veterans are encouraged to participate.
"Working with a vibrant and diverse supplier community is good for our company business and the economy," said Deane Leavenworth, regional vice president, Government Relations for Time Warner Cable. "Our monthly webinar series supports Time Warner Cable's Supplier Diversity Initiative to increase communication of updates and opportunities that may benefit potential suppliers."
In addition to its supplier initiative, TWC strives to create diversity and inclusion in all areas in and outside the workplace - earning the company two consecutive spots on Diversity Inc.'s Top 50 Companies for Diversity list.
TWC creates an environment for success with its comprehensive approach to diversity in recruitment, hiring, multicultural marketing, education and training.
Diversity has been a growing priority for TWC as the company's approach to product development, programming, marketing, customer service and workforce development must consider significant demographic shifts in our country.
Held online the third Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. PST, the 2012 Supplier Diversity Webinar will serve as a resource for suppliers interested in general information about how to do business with TWC. Upcoming webinar dates include: Aug. 16; Sept. 20, Oct. 18; Nov. 15; Dec. 20. Info: www.twcablesupplierdiversity.com
