Flathead Valley Community College will honor its first class of registered nursing graduates during a pinning ceremony at 4 p.m. Aug. 10. Back row: Stacie Pugh, Lara McDonnell, Christine Reid, Kat Lembrich and Liisa Lommatsch. The ceremony will be in the large community meeting room of the Arts and Technology Building. Graduates will be individually recognized for their accomplishments and share their personal and journeys to becoming registered nurses. A reception will follow the ceremony. Climate change awards announced
Climate Smart Glacier Country announced its Climate Smart Champions during a ceremony at the Earth Day celebration April 21 in Whitefish. Awards were presented to businesses, youth and an individual who are leaders in building local solutions to climate change challenges.
