Lavonne Burgard works on a painting for the upcoming Taste of Kalispell Invitational Art Exhibition, which opens this Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Museum at Central School in Kalispell. More than 20 local artists were asked to create pieces for the show depicting contemporary Kalispell. Burgard chose yarn bombing at the Hockaday Museum of Art for her subject. Taste of Kalispell is Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. The art work will remain on display in the main entrance hall of the Museum at Central School through Sept. 30.
