TRAIL: Tale of an interchange

Cyclists Beware! The much beloved Centennial Trail has been severed in Post Falls due to the Beck Road interchange/overpass. The powers that be did not see it in their best interest — $ — to install a paved, safe detour with professional signs. There are large rocks, gravel, deep sand, very narrow lanes and huge construction trucks that you have to maneuver among.

You may be OK with a mountain bike, but dodging the trucks is suicidal. How did this happen? Doesn’t Post Falls or Kootenai County have a policy in place to protect our trail for the thousands of users? How about regulations for construction companies and their engineers? Why not? If not, shame on you.
