LA's Billingsley wins 5th consecutive start

Chad Billingsley pitched eight dominant innings and the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers matched their highest-scoring game of the season, routing the Pittsburgh Pirates 11-0 on Tuesday night.

Billingsley won his fifth consecutive start, allowing five hits and one walk. He improved to 7-1 in his career against the Pirates.

Cardinals 8, Diamondbacks 2: Rookie Joe Kelly pitched into the seventh inning of what could be his final start before Jaime Garcia comes off the disabled list, and host St. Louis got home runs from Matt Holliday and Jon Jay in a victory over Arizona.

Astros 10, Cubs 1: Brett Wallace and Fernando Martinez each hit three-run homers to back Lucas Harrell's eight strong innings and Houston romped at Chicago.

Giants 6, Nationals 1: Madison Bumgarner pitched a five-hitter and Brandon Belt had three hits and three RBIs, leading San Francisco past visiting Washington.

Braves 6, Padres 0: Tim Hudson combined with three relievers for a five-hit shutout, Martin Prado hit a three-run homer, and Atlanta beat visiting San Diego.

Phillies 1, Marlins 0: Kyle Kendrick pitched five-hit ball for seven innings and Jimmy Rollins homered off Josh Johnson to start the game, leading Philadelphia at Miami.

Reds 3, Mets 0: Jay Bruce hit a three-run homer in the ninth and host Cininnati beat New York for its fourth straight win.

Rockies 8, Brewers 6: At Denver, Carlos Gonzalez had four hits, Tyler Chatwood pitched six effective innings and Colorado beat Milwaukee.

* AMERICAN LEAGUE

Royals 5, Athletics 0: Jeremy Guthrie allowed only three singles in seven innings, and host Kansas City beat Oakland.

White Sox 3, Blue Jays 2: Jose Quintana snapped a five-start winless streak and visiting Chicago beat Toronto.

Orioles 7, Red Sox 1: Mark Reynolds homered twice and drove in four runs, Omar Quintanilla also went deep, and Baltimore beat visiting Boston.

Angles 9, Indians 6: At Anaheim, Calif., Albert Pujols homered and drove in four runs and Los Angeles beat Cleveland.

Yankees 3, Rangers 0: Hiroki Kuroda pitched a two-hitter and New York got consecutive homers from Nick Swisher and Mark Teixeira in a win over visiting Texas.

Tigers 8, Twins 4: At Minneapolis, Miguel Cabrera became the first player to reach 100 RBIs this season with a run-scoring single and Doug Fister pitched eight strong innings for Detroit in a win over Minnesota.
