Columbia Falls bull rider Matt Triplett is doing well on the Canadian Professional Bullrider circuit.

On Aug. 8, Triplett won the short round in Fort Hall, Idaho, taking fifth overall. The next day, he took second at the Eatonia Harvest Crunch in Saskatchewan. He followed that up by winning the Brad Phipps Memorial in Lashburn, Sask., the very next day.

This week, Triplett said, he’ll probably head down to a Built Ford Truck Series event in San Antonio, Texas. At presstime, he was waiting for word to see whether he’d be invited down to the event. The Ford series rodeo has much larger purses.

“The season is going really good,” Triplett said. “I’m in the top five in Canada.”

Triplett graduated from Columbia Falls in 2010, but lately he’s been living in North Dakota.
