The MarDon Resort fishing dock has finally come alive with fish catching action. Crappie, Bluegill, Perch and catfish are showing up daily. Some very nice Trout and Bass are also being reported. The Walleye fishing continues to be tough for most boat anglers. I believe this is due to the vast amount of forage in the system this year. Levi & Mike Meseberg went bass fishing last night for only two hours, yet landed 12 Largemouth with some in the 4lb. catergory. The fish are especially fat and healthy this time of year. The summer keeps the water temperatures along the 80F mark and the reservoir water level slowly dropping, with a current water level of 1,031.7 ft. I can't wait for our winter walleye at the MarDon Dock. Medicare Beach has been showing some quality bank fishing for Rainbow Trout.
The mouth of Frenchman's Wasteway where it enters Potholes Reservoir is always a good place for fishing. Six year old Ryan Fisher caught a 6lb. Catfish according to a proud Grandmother's Report. Soda Lake has also been producing monster sized catfish and consistent Walleye fishing.

Fresh News from MarDon
Waterfowl hunting continues to be tough with stagnant air which builds fog. Additionally, with our unseasonably warm weather temperatures every pond or secret hole is now completely free of ice with mostly open water. These conditions are perfect to jump shoot Northern Mallards and lazy Canadian Honkers. Central Washington is covered with waterfowl from the North. As soon as our temperatures drop below freezing around the clock and we get a little wind, the big water will harbor vast numbers of quality ducks and geese.
