Brake failure causes truck rollover

POLSON — On Friday morning, a local truck delivering grain experienced mechanical brake failure while driving downhill on U.S. 93, toward the intersection with Highway 35. According to Sgt. Randy Owens of Montana Highway Patrol, the driver attempted to make the turn onto Highway 35, but hit the curb and flipped the vehicle, landing on the end of a pickup going through the intersection.

Names of those involved in the accident have not been released, pending submission of the accident report by the responding trooper.

No passengers sustained any serious injuries in the accident and no citation was issued to the truck driver.

FINLEY POINT — There is “nothing left” of a Finley Point summer home that was decimated by a fire on Thursday morning, according to Finley Point Fire Chief Chris Ricciardi.
