Catherine "Jean" Piller of Emmett, Idaho passed away Aug. 19, 2012, in Emmett, Idaho, at her home.
Jean was born in Boise on May 26, 1929, to William M. Imus and Mary M. "Mamie" Imus, the youngest of five children. She was raised in the Boise area.
In 1946, Jean married Thad Piller and together had one daughter Chris. They lived in the Hayden Lake and Coeur d' Alene area for many years, and a short time in Round Up, Montana, until moving to Ola, Idaho in 1998, then finally to Emmett.
Some of her favorite things were spending time with her family and friends, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spent a lot of time in the kitchen preparing meals and just visiting. She bowled for many years on leagues in North and South Idaho, and enjoyed playing cards and board games with a fierce competitiveness.
Jean was preceded in death by her father Bill, mother Mamie, sisters Louise, Dorothy, and son Kenneth. She is survived by her husband, Thad Piller, of Emmett, Idaho; daughter and son in law Christine and Michael Samson of Ola and their three children; Pamela and Charles Pfennig, their two sons Kristian and Austin; Nikki and Troy Lempesis, their children, Trevor, Brendon and Emily; Michael and Andrea Samson and son, Rylan.
"Mom, Granny, Grandma, Big Grandma" you will be truly missed. Love You.
Jean wished any memorial donations, be given to the, Pet Adoption League, 1526 N. Washington, Emmett, ID 83617
A celebration of her life will be scheduled for a later date.
Local arrangements are with the Potter Funeral Chapel in Emmett.
