Kevin Lynn Martin, 51

Kevin Lynn Martin, 51, passed away Aug. 25, 2012, in Reno, Nev. He was born in Coeur d’Alene on Dec. 8, 1960, to Ralph and Winnifred Martin and was the youngest member of the family.
A lifelong resident of Spirit Lake, Kevin attended Spirit Lake Elementary and Lakeland High School. Kevin went into the logging field for a while. He went to work for the city of Spirit Lake in the maintenance department for two years.
Kevin then went to Boise State College vocational tech school to become a wastewater treatment operator. He then graduated and went to work for Hayden Wastewater Treatment plant for a number of years. He had to leave for health reasons.
The last five years of his life, he resided in Winnemucca, Nev., with his sister, Kathy, due to his poor health. Kevin loved being with his nieces and nephews. He loved to hunt and fish with all of them and later his faithful dog, Axel.
He is survived by his sister, Kathleen of Winnemucca; brother Larry (Roxy); sister Janice Eastman (Dan) of Spirit Lake; brother Jim (Ina) of Libby, Mont.; sister Sharon Moore (Robert) of Athol; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at Greenwood Cemetery in Spirit Lake. A gathering at 5769 W. Madison St., Spirit Lake, will follow.
