Construction of the 'Constrictor' is under way

Construction of the "Constrictor" - a new 350-foot high speed slide at Raptor Reef Indoor Waterpark, the first slide of its type to be installed in the Northwest - is under way at Triple Play Family Fun Park.

The slide gets its name because of its three tight curves, where guests will ride high on the curves on either a single or double tube. The slide is set to open on Friday, Nov. 9.

"Triple Play is thrilled to be installing this Whitewater slide, as it is the same slide highlighted on the Travel Channel as one of the world's most extreme slides." said Jennifer Ross, marketing and sales director.

Also, Triple Play Family Fun Park will be welcoming the Polar Bear Pond back in September.

This 3,500-square-foot ice skating rink will be in the northeast corner of the parking lot.

Guests will be skating on "EZ Glide 350," a synthetic ice skating surface, the same material that is used in some traveling ice shows such as "Disney on Ice."

Polar Bear Pond will be open year-round.

Triple Play is at 175 W. Orchard.
