Legislators' send-off luncheon scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 12
The Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce will host the annual legislators' send-off luncheon on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at The Best Western Coeur d'Alene Inn, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"This is an opportunity to express appreciation to our area legislators for their dedication and sacrifice in serving the greater Coeur d'Alene area and to hear from them on their key policy priorities," according to a press release.
The program includes a social period with legislators from Districts 3, 4, and 5 beginning at 11:30 a.m. followed by lunch at noon. The Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls chambers will present their legislative positions, followed by state legislators speaking on key issues facing the state and the North Idaho region.

Hecla Mining Company declares regular quarterly dividend
Hecla Mining Company announced its Board of Directors has elected to declare the regular quarterly dividend of 88 cents per share on the outstanding Series B Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock.
The regular quarterly dividend of 88 cents per share, on a total of 157,816 shares outstanding of the Series B Cumulative Convertible Preferred Stock, represents a total amount to be paid of approximately $138,000.
The cash dividend is payable Jan. 2, 2013, to shareholders of record on Dec. 14, 2012.
Dutch Bros. Coffee to donate drink proceeds on Friday
On Friday, all 190 Dutch Bros. Coffee locations in seven states will donate drink proceeds to youth programs selected by local owner-operators.
Last year, the annual Buck-4-Kids Day resulted in $93,000 raised for community youth organizations.
Organizations range from regional Boys and Girls Clubs to Christmas toy collection programs.
Dutch Bros. Coffee donates more than $1 million every year to nonprofit organizations and causes.
