A house fire Saturday in the 700 block of Terrace View in Libby is being investigated by law enforcement and state and local fire officials.
The Libby Volunteer Fire Department responded shortly after 6 p.m. Saturday to a fire on Terrace View that substantially burned the large, single-family home.
“We can’t give a cause of the fire yet,” said Lincoln County Sheriff Roby Bowe. “We investigate every fire, and I don’t anticipate a cause soon.”
Bowe said the fire to the estimated $250,000 frame home is substantial. His office is working with the state fire marshal to determine a cause.
“We just don’t know yet. It could be an electrical (cause),” Bowe said.
Bowe said no one was home at the time of the fire, and that there were no injuries to firefighters.
