PASCO, Wash. - Jordan McCloud had 15 points and 12 rebounds for the 15th-ranked North Idaho College men's basketball team in a 96-65 win against the Columbia Basin Hawks of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges on Wednesday night.

"I thought Jordan was big for us tonight," NIC coach Jared Phay said. "We gave him the start tonight and he made the most of his opportunity. It was a really good preconference test for us and good to get a road game before that."

Keon Lewis scored 21 points for NIC (12-1), which travels to Colorado Northwestern next Thursday to open the Scenic West Athletic Conference schedule.

Brian McDaniel scored 36 points for Columbia Basin (1-4), which trailed 42-30 at halftime.

"I think our depth and press got to them in the second half," Phay said. "Brian McDaniel did a good job of keeping them in the game."
