Ronald Edward Lentzner, 69

Ronald Edward Lentzner, 69, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Nov. 21, 2012, in Tucson, Ariz., at home with his wife, Vici and daughter DeVon, by his side after a yearlong battle with cancer.

Ron was born on Jan. 17, 1943, to Edward and Laura Lentzner in Los Angeles, Calif. He spent his younger years growing up in Larslan, Mont. He graduated from Glasgow High School, Mont., in 1961. He married Vera (Valentina) Woroszka on July 6, 1963, in Glasgow, Mont. They had three daughters: DeVon, Reone and Deni. He married Vici Waters on June 5, 1993, in Coeur d’Alene.

Ron served six months active duty and seven years in the Army Reserve. He attended Northrop Institute of Technology, majoring in electronic engineering in Los Angeles, Calif. Upon the death of his father, Ron returned to Larslan, Mont., to manage the farm homestead for his mother, sisters and family. Ron was an entrepreneurial real estate developer and owner. He spent his adult years living in Montana, California, Idaho, Mazatlan, Mexico and Arizona.

He is survived by his wife, Vici Lentzner of Tucson, Ariz.; his daughters, DeVon Lentzner of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Deni (and Kirk) Hogan of Bozeman, Mont.; his stepson, Steve (and Chisato) Dingman of Spokane; his sisters, Beverly (and Chuck) Lynch of Yacolt, Wash., Shirley (and Arnie) Lehnert of Libby, Mont., Janet Lentzner of Denver, Colo.; his grandchildren, Chelsee Lentzner of Denver, Shane and Sarah Thomas of Highlands Ranch, Peyton, Taylor and Berkley Hogan of Bozeman, Jessica and Chelsea Dingman of Spokane.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Laura Lentzner; and his daughter, Reone Lynn Lentzner.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, at St. Pius X Church, 625 E. Haycraft Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814 with Rev. Roger LaChance officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, 408 N. Spokane St., Post Falls, ID 83854.
