Vehicle drives into business

COEUR d'ALENE - A white Jeep Cherokee apparently lost control and crashed through the window of Action Printers Wednesday night.

The business, at 300 E. Harrison Ave., was closed for the day, so nobody was inside.

It's the second time a car has come through the business's window, on the southeast corner where Third Street intersects with Harrison Avenue in the last few years.

"It's amazing everything still works," said Stan Orser, the store's general manager, on all the office equipment that survived despite the SUV landing on a computer and desk.

Orser visited the scene of the accident after it was reported around 9:45 p.m.

The Coeur d'Alene Police accident report was not available Friday, but Orser said he was told at least one teenager was taken to the hospital and released.

A few years ago, a car crashed through a window to the business, located on the narrow intersection since 1982, in similar fashion, Orser said.

Orser said he's thinking of putting a big landscaping rock on the corner, partly as decoration, partly as a barrier.
