More than 20,000 square feet of space, easy access from Appleway and visual exposure from I-90 prompted Specialty Recreation & Marine to move to 722 W. Appleway Ave. Moving from 772 W. Kathleen Ave., the new space formerly was Lone Wolf Harley Davidson and seasonally Spirit of Halloween.

Hang on for these Tidbits

- Normally this column wouldn't include something that's more of an advertisement such as an eatery adding a meal. But this bunch is too tempting as it covers the entire day. Bistro on Spruce at 1710 N. Fourth now has breakfast 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. The Cellar at 317 E. Sherman now has lunch 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily, and Michael D's (at 203 E. Lake Cd'A Drive) has added dinner 4-8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

- Sometimes it's tough for Santa to be cheery. Last Sunday, after the Hayden Holiday Parade, Santa was hearing the Christmas wishes of kids, mostly wanting Barbies and electronic games. Then one little boy on his lap looked to his feet and asked if Santa could help him know his real dad...

- Single-digit numbers are words (such as "three") unless they're an age, dimension or address. When two digits or more they become numerals (like "11") unless they're beginning a sentence, and then avoid it by rewriting the sentence.

- A dog that gave birth to puppies beside the road was littering.
