A man armed with a handgun unsuccessfully attempted to rob an Evergreen casino Wednesday night.
According to Flathead County Sheriff Chuck Curry, the man entered Player’s Club on U.S. 2 East with the intention of committing a robbery at approximately 6:30 p.m., but was not able to get any money. The man then fled the scene on foot.
Deputies with the sheriff’s office responded to the scene as well as Kalispell Police Department officers and Montana Highway Patrol troopers who lent their assistance to the search. As of 7:30 p.m., deputies were still trying to track the man’s footprints through the snow.
