MOSES LAKE - Police are looking for two passengers who fled from the scene of a vehicle crash in the 900 block of Central Avenue Saturday night that left a Moses Lake man injured.

Matthew Edwards, 22, was driving on West Central Avenue at about 8:47 p.m. when he failed to make a turn, according to information from the Moses Lake Police Department. The investigation suggested Edwards was driving at a high rate of speed.

His car, a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier, left the road and rolled, the press release said. Edwards was transported to Samaritan Healthcare and then airlifted to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. He had been released from Sacred Heart by Tuesday afternoon.

Evidence indicates there were two passengers in the vehicle when the accident occurred, who subsequently fled the scene. The department is asking people with information about the passengers or the crash to contact the Moses Lake Police Department, 509-764-3887 or the Grant County dispatch center, 509-762-1160.
