The Press wants to know about fantastic Christmas displays in the area.

We'll publish an occasional list of addresses/locations for your viewing pleasure.

Email the address, location and/or city of displays that make you pause to [email protected]. (Remember to jot down the address and/or general location when you pass by.) If you want to include a short description of the display, that's fine, too.

You can ring my bell ... for charity

Here is Coeur d'Alene's starting All-Star lineup for today's Salvation Army bell ringing contest against arch rivalSpokane.

Batting lead off, from 10 to noon will be Mayor Sandi Bloem and Kim Johnson.

Noon to 1 p.m. will be Mike and Sholeh Patrick and Kerri Thoreson.

From 1 to 2 p.m., will be Sandy Patano, Jack Riggs, Joe Morris and Steve Griffitts.

Ringing cleanup, from 2 to 3 p.m., Mike Kennedy and one of his children along with Susann Draper.

Following team Kennedy, Troy Tymesen, Hazel Bauman and David Rawls will swing, er, ring away.

Closing the contest, or second leadoff as some call it, will be Sandee Riggs from 4 to 5 p.m.

Multiple ringers will fill most every hour because Fred Meyer, 560 W. Kathleen Ave., has multiple entrances and every base should be covered.
