Vandals roll past Walla Walla

MOSCOW - Kyle Barone had 15 points and Stephen Madson added 14 as Idaho defeated Walla Walla University 91-47 on Saturday night.
Mike McChristian scored 13 points for the Vandals (4-5).
Ryan Spady had 14 points for NAIA Walla Walla (2-16).
Idaho took permanent control with a 20-2 run over 6:59 of the first half. Barone had nine points during the stretch, and Walla Walla went scoreless for 5:01.
The Wolves had a long drought to end the game, as their last points came on John Heinrich's layup with 5:12 remaining.
Former Post Falls High standout Connor Hill had nine points and three assists for the Vandals, who play at Boise State on Thursday.
"We put in a lot of work this week in practice, so I thought they were a little heavy-legged tonight, but we executed pretty well, we rebounded hard and I liked the way some of our guys played," Idaho coach Don Verlin said.
