PARADISE - At approximately 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, a one-vehicle rollover was reported on Highway 135 near mile marker 19.

The white Ford Explorer Sport blocked both lanes of traffic. The two occupants were reported to be out of the vehicle and walking. Plains Ambulance  and Bighorn QRU were dispatched from Clark Fork Valley Hospital five minutes later and were on scene.

It was reported that the two occupants are from Lincoln County and are uninjured.

Plains-Paradise Rural Fire District arrived and secured the scene and quickly set up traffic control and investigated the vehicle, which lay on its side in the center of the road. The firefighters cut the battery and checked for leaks.

“We had to make sure there wasn’t any oil or gas leaks,” assistant chief Lee Mercier said. “The disconnecting the battery was to make sure there are no sparks when the vehicle is moved. Luckily, there are no leaks and the gas tank is up top, so that’s good.”

Road conditions on Thursday were dry, and there wasn’t any precipitation in either Sanders or Mineral County. Factors of the crash remain unknown at this time.
