LIBBY — Libby’s Greenchain split duals with two Northwestern A wrestling foes on Thursday.

The Loggers pinned Whitefish 49-30, but lost to Columbia Falls 51-21.

“Columbia Falls came out of the gates with a lot of momentum right away,” Libby coach Kelly Morford said.

“That got us on our heels and we never recovered. They wrestled well and were able to control the tempo.”

Morford “was very impressed” with the effort turned in by a much-improved Whitefish squad.

For Libby, five wrestlers were 2-0 on the day. Zach Case (125) won twice by pin, Skylar Higareda (135) won by major decision and decision, Garret Chapel (152) won by forfeit and pin, Josh Bowers (160 and 171) won by forfeit and decision and Austin Bailey (189) won by forfeit and pin.
