Black & White Ball tickets on sale Jan. 19
Tickets to the Coeur d'Alene Symphony's Black & White Ball on Jan. 19 are available.
The dance is being held at Best Western Coeur d'Alene Inn from 7 to 9 p.m. It's an evening where you can dress in your finest if you wish and dance the night away.
The ball is the symphony's major fundraiser of the year and also includes no-host bar, hors d'oeuvres and silent auction items.
Tickets are $25.
The symphony has two concerts coming up.
The winners of the Young Artist competition will perform with the Symphony on March 8 and 9.
"This is a very special concert where we showcase young talent from all over the U.S. and Canada who have competed for the honor of playing with the Coeur d'Alene Symphony," according to a press release.
A May 3 and 4 concert includes a world premiere of Concerto #2 for Jazz Piano and Orchestra by local composer, Brent Edstrom, and Symphony #3 Eroica by Beethoven.
Adult tickets are $20, seniors 65 and up are $15, and student/youth tickets are $8.

Marlette piano Christmas music concert Sunday
COEUR d'ALENE - Cynthia Marlette will present a piano concert of Christmas music at 10:30 a.m. Sunday in the sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church, 521 Lakeside Ave.
The performance will include music of Mannheim Steamroller, Mark Hayes, David Lanz and others. It will be performed on a Yamaha Disklavier piano, combining an acoustic piano with the ability to integrate synthesizer sounds and tracks.
Marlette is the organist/pianist at First Presbyterian and has played professionally in the Coeur d'Alene area for almost 20 years.
She is the founder of the NW Sacred Music Chorale and has performed for their Christmas concerts.
The concert is free.
