Julie Gerwin was born Julia Michelle Poll in San Jose Calif., on May 11, 1958, to Robert and Marie Poll. The only daughter and the first of three children.

She was a country girl and grew up with her family in Bonny Doon, Calif. She married Robert Gerwin, the love of her life, when he literally fell through the ceiling of the deli where she worked. Together they had four daughters, Michelle Louise, Claire Dorthea, Nichole Marie and Brianna Katherine. They raised their girls in Hayden Lake.

Julie worked her way up through the corporate ranks until she became the Controller at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, Calif. She greatly anticipated retiring and opening her own quilt shop, as quilting along with her family was her passion.

Julie was a devoted wife and mother and her family was her greatest accomplishment. Especially this last year when she and Rob welcomed their first grandchildren, William Daniel and Bailey Reeve, into their family.

She is survived by her husband, Rob; her four daughters, Michelle, Claire, Niki and Breezy; her grandchildren, William and Bo; her brothers, Robbie and Mike; and her mother, Mari Lou.
