The Main Library in Kalispell and the Columbia Falls Branch Library will have new service hours beginning Jan. 2. At the Main Library in Kalispell, the biggest change will be closing later on Friday evenings and opening earlier on Saturday mornings. The Columbia Falls Branch Library will open earlier on most weekdays and will also close later on Friday evenings.

The new library hours reflect the community’s input from a survey earlier this year, as well as staff surveys and statistics of library visits and checkouts. Because of budgets and staffing, service hours were not added, but existing hours were rearranged to better serve the community.

Both libraries will continue to be open Monday through Saturday with more convenient opening and closing times.
