Bruce (Joe) Allen Roe, 64

Bruce (Joe) Allen Roe, 64, of Post Falls, passed away surrounded by his family on Dec. 21, 2012, at Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene after his second battle with cancer. Joe was a great man, loving brother, father and grandfather.

Joe was born Nov. 6, 1948, in Klamath Falls, Ore., to Francis Alvin Roe and Velma Ruth Hanna. Joe grew up in Spokane. In his younger years, he lived in Newman Lake, Wash., where he met and married Irene Palanuik, they were married for 13 years and had four wonderful children. He worked at Fiber Form for many years manufacturing boats. He returned to Post Falls, living in Idaho thereafter. Joe enjoyed fishing, listening to oldies music and playing pool, and with his funny kind of humor, “grapefruit,” and “oh fishhooks,” made everyone laugh.

Joe is survived by his sisters, Sherry Haughton, Judy Matson, Nancy Benson, Linda Estell, Barb Ferguson and Patty Neff; his son, Joey Roe; grandchildren, Chastin, Keanea, Joseph, Amber and Haylie; great-grandchildren, Luka and Lavaya; his daughter, Patty Burrowes (Roe); grandchildren, Joshua and Sharee; great-grandchildren, Taylor, Treyton and Elizabeth; his daughter, Barbara Hayes (Roe); grandchildren, Jacob and Nicole; his daughter, Teresa Roe; grandchild Courtney; his daughter, Shellee Roe; grandchildren, Alexandria and Jason.

Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at American Legion, Post 143, 1138 E. Poleline Ave., Post Falls.
