Patrick Cote/Daily Inter Lake Syble Sanders, left, knits a scarf Friday afternoon during the "Hugs For Hope Stitch Out" at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork. The Prayer Shawl Ministry group came together to make close to 50 scarves in the last week in tribute to the victims of Sandy Hook. The scarves with be distributed to The Samaritan House, Veterans Pantry and various other organizations throughout the Flathead community. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012 in Bigfork, Montana.

Patrick Cote/Daily Inter Lake After finishing the final leg of her 91-mile fundraising run, Kelda Latham-Bennett, right, is greeted by Special Olympics athlete Chrissy Siefke in the Flathead Industries parking lot Monday afternoon. Latham-Bennett raised more than $4,000 for Special Olympics of Montana by running from Libby to Kalispell.
