Prayer Shawl Ministry group members surround the table while retired pastor Tim Gopp reads a prayer Friday afternoon while blessing several scarves made during the “Hugs For Hope Stitch Out” at Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork. The Prayer Shawl Ministry group came together to make close to 50 scarves in the last week in tribute to the victims of the Connecticut school massacre. The scarves with be distributed to The Samaritan House, Veterans Food Pantry and various other organizations throughout the community.

Latham-Bennett raised more than $4,000 for Special Olympics of Montana by running from Libby to Kalispell.
