Keep this hush, hush

Restaurants always are the most popular items here, so even though this one isn't definite...(shhh)...we'll leak some info.
Watch for a Golden Corral Grill & Buffet to be in a new 8,500-square-foot building next summer at 3458 N. Fruitland Lane. This will have access by taking Neider Avenue between the Dollar Store and Super Supplements west of Highway 95 to Fruitland and then north to where a storage unit business is being removed.
Golden Corral is popular as a buffet possibility for all three meals. It started 40 years ago and now has about 490 locations in 39 states, with headquarters in Raleigh, N.C. The closest to us is on Division in Spokane. Check the menu at www.goldencorral.com.
Havoc offers urban street wear, rigs
The latest in urban street wear and specialty designed choppers, street bikes and watercraft and accessories are offered at Havoc Clothing & Speed. The store opened last week at 1308 E. Best Ave. (between Auto Shack and Divers West).
The list includes a full line of men's and women's shirts, shorts, pants, shoes and road-racing suits. The rods and bikes are custom-art designed and painted. Items are in the 2,000-square-foot store and the 4,000-square-foot outdoor area.
"This is a shop Coeur d'Alene has been missing," said Chris (Topher) Clark, owner with Anton Hale. "Watch for a lot of good energy at the east end of Best." Both men are Idaho originals.

All types of pet grooming and items are offered at Heavenly Petz Salon and Pet Boutique. Owner Kim Black plans to open the shop this week at 9375 Government Way, Hayden.
"Our professional pet stylists specialize in breed-specific grooms, modified styles and dogs and cats," Black said. "We are tranquilizer free, vet recommended in a quiet, happy environment. We have a hydro-surge, therapeutic bathing system."
Originally from San Jose, Calif., Black came to North Idaho in 1996 and has 23 years of pet grooming experience. Appointments start at 8 a.m. Tuesday through Friday and alternate Saturdays. Phone 772-7329.
And now the Tidbits
- Remember the convenience store/gas station near Zips on Government Way that had premium gas and diesel for "an arm and a leg?" It's gone.
- Speaking of gas: It's under $3! But why is Post Falls higher the Cd'A? One of us geezers remembers when gas was 25 cents a gallon in Seattle in 1971.
- Cool: 111,111,111 X 111,111,111 = 12,345,678,987,654,321.
- 2013 starts Tuesday. Years are the only exception to the rule that a numeral can't start a sentence.
